Over the past few weeks, our system has experienced several security incidents. While only one posed a serious risk, we have proactively strengthened our security measures to better protect the platform.

Key points of the update:



To protect the original student developers of this platform, management of the site has now been transitioned to an external, independent team. This ensures that the original creators are not held personally liable for the operation of the platform or any misuse of content.



Important note: The site is not owned by any one individual. Since its founding, the platform has relied on an agreement with https://sharepanel.host for essentially free hosting, while the SharePanel team has helped maintain security and technical support.



We have also implemented a more efficient reporting system for issues, violations, or breaches. You can submit a report via: https://mta.sharepanel.host/support/



Finally, we are seeking student members of the Mount Allison community to join our management team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the platform’s role within the campus community while gaining hands-on experience managing an online social and academic network.
